ST61 is just the same as ST60. These stylii are very similar to the one with PDA, infact slightly better in grip due to rougher texture on it. And extra colors look good. I took a bic round stic pen (the elcheapo pen you find everywhere!), removed its refill, put some paper (to fit stylus tightly) and then the stylus. Now the pen has been transformed into an extra stlyus for my Clie. ...more

I purchased this unit after returning a STR-DG510 because I made a poor choice originally. That's not a knock on the 510 because for the money it's a great value. But the 710 with it's full HD 1080P compatibility, it's handling of the audio through the HDMI cable, the auxiliary AV inputs on the front panel, the power, and the quality sound gave me all reasons I needed to upgrade. I was nervous with some of the reviews here @ Amazon so i went online and researched for several weeks. Finally manned up and took a chance. Only thing i can see anyone havin a problem with is the battery life. Of course the media is short on hq but they have come out with a dual layer disc. It is compatible with several different 8cm DVD discs giving you different options for recording. I did not realize a memory stick was required for still pictures, so I had to make an additional purchase after receiving the camera - - not sure if the advertisement mentioned it. The menu and touch screen work very well, making for easy set up and review. The Operating Guide is sometimes confusing, but all in all gets you to where you need to go. ...more
